The HM 2620 E hot air gun is held by a tradesman.
Our flagship: the HM 2620 E hot air gun.

We know what roofers value, because roofers tell us. And they value every detail.

As the market leader in the production of hot air blowers, it is second nature for us to develop solutions for many applications. With the HM 2620 E, we have taken it to the extreme this time. Direct exchange with roofers has helped to incorporate suggestions and experiences from the field directly into product development. The result is the ideal tool for working on the roofs of the world.

Overview of possible applications

A roofer welds roofing sheets with a hot-air blower, an angled flat nozzle attached and a pressure roller.

For perfect use on any construction site

STEINEL hot air guns are the perfect tools for overlap welding tarpaulins and roof sheeting. During processing, tarpaulins are softened and welded together at a temperature of 400–600°C and roof sheeting at 450–550°C with maximum air flow for a durable result. This type of repair is an especially cost-effective solution for damaged sheeting. This is because most sheeting is made of thermoplastic material and is therefore very easy to repair using heat – the ideal application for STEINEL hot air blowers.

Our flagship, the construction site-ready HM 2620 E, has a wide temperature range of 50°C to 700°C, adjustable in 10-degree increments by joystick. In conjunction with an air volume control of up to 500 l/min, it is the tool of choice for every application on the roof.

For the best results, there are practical accessories such as the two most important angled flat nozzles in the formats 40 x 2 mm and 20 x 2 mm, as well as the matching pressure rollers made of rubber and silicone. This makes even the most difficult task easy.

Gluing was yesterday. Welding is today.

Tarpaulins have to withstand the most severe weather conditions and also the effects of large forces (e.g. from tensioning ropes). In the past, adhesive bonds have proven to be good, but not perfect, here. To solve this challenge in perfect quality, STEINEL recommends welding the edges. To make this process simple and clean, we have put together a set of perfectly matched tools for you. Our HM 2620 E top-of-the-range blower is also available in a handy case set with the two most important angled flat nozzles and the matching pressure roller. This means that everything you need for planning and film welding is always to hand and ready for use. Because: real performance welds together.
